REV3AL Welcomes Renowned Researcher, Dr. David Utzke, to Advisory Board

REV3AL is proud to announce that Dr. David Utzke has joined its advisory board. The team believes that his vast knowledge and experience will have a significant impact on the security of Web3 for years to come.

Dr. David is a researcher and educator focused on Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), Digital Currency Alternative Payment Systems, Cryptocurrency Economics, Token Technology and Economics, Extended Reality (XR) technologies, and Data Analytics.

With an architectural design analytics approach, Dr. Utzke has been able to provide support in ways that are engaging, dynamic, and rooted in government special operations or federal cyber crimes law enforcement. He is a graduate professor teaching DLT Architecture & Smart Contract/DApp Coding and is currently in the private sector as Senior Director of Crypto Economic Technology (R&D Engineering) and Investigative Analysts. He provides research and insight to multiple ‘3-letter’ government agencies and to Fortune 500 companies.

He has received prestigious awards from the U.S. Dept. of Justice and the IRS Commissioner’s Award for his pioneering work in developing tools and providing support in DLT, Digital Assets, AI, and XR in criminal and civil investigations, also providing his expertise as expert testimony in federal grand jury, criminal, and civil legal proceedings. He has also participated as a consultant for agencies such as the NSA in such prominent instances as the Silk Road and McAfee cases.

Dr. David will be advising REV3AL’s technical team moving forward, playing an instrumental role to provide his unique insight and experience as a part of broader cybersecurity infrastructure in today’s market. The company is very excited to further develop its product suite to protect creators and end users in the future digital economy with Dr. David’s input and guidance.

• Dr. Utzke holds a doctorate in Financial Economics (minor in Computer Science), a Master’s degree in Forensic Accounting and International Finance (minor in Computer Science), a Master of Science in Blockchain Engineering and Digital Currency Coding, and Bachelor’s in Agricultural Business & Economics (minor in Computer Science)
• Dr. Utzke has also completed postdoctoral work in Cryptocurrency Economics & Token Economics as well as Smart City Design with Technology Integration at MIT. And he completed post-doctoral work in XR design at the University of Michigan’s XR Dept with ethical, accessibility, social, privacy, and security concerns.
• He has received professional certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (CDFE), and completed training at the Army NCO Academy and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Advanced Economic Crimes as well as certifications in Blockchain Design, Blockchain Architecture, and Smart Contract Development.
