Tech & Team Updates Week of November 28th, 2022

Hello, REV3ALers, Welcome to another weekly update and we have a lot to share with you!

Our entire team is excited to showcase what we have been working on behind the scenes, and we have a lot in store for the next few weeks, as we plan to finish this last month of 2022 strongly. For example, we’ll be expanding the beta testing of our security portal very soon, and this will be the first stepping stone to a much larger rollout. We’re very excited to open up access to our core technology and to be moving forward with product and utility according to schedule!

This also coincides with the rollout of our refreshed brand which we’re aiming to have live by next week. This new look for REV3AL will be updated across the entire web, and once we have made all the initial changes to our social media platforms another Medium article will be posted to showcase how our new logomark and brand better fits our vision for the future.

We are working hard to keep you continuously updated and have implemented a host of new methods of communication, including our Twitter newsletter, an email newsletter, and ongoing voice communication from our team on Twitter Spaces and Telegram. Stay tuned to our Twitter for the latest updates, dates, and times for events.

Weekly Twitter Spaces Events

These weekly Twitter Spaces events take place every Wednesday at 4:00 pm UTC and usually last for at least 2 hours, sometimes longer, depending on the topics and availability of our guest speakers. International Events & Marketing Events

We plan to spend our weekends in 2023 as we have throughout the past year, by representing REV3AL at all the major expos, conferences, and relevant industry events. Moving forward we plan to implement live video updates from our co-founders as well as scheduled video releases from their time on stage, and their time spent with the other experts in the crypto, metaverse, and Web3 industries.

This last week our CRO, Adam Russell was a guest at DCENTRAL Miami (Nov 28–29, 2022) and was able to spend time with some of the best and brightest in the industry from all across Web3. We plan to share more on that trip in the coming weeks, as we announce new partnerships that were formed while in attendance.

Do you have a conference that you think we should go to in 2023? Are you hosting the next big thing? Drop us a line and let us know, by emailing us a press@rev3al.com. We will see you from the stage, or at one of our booths!

Roundtable & AMA Discussions

Once a month we will have members of our team participating in an AMA, rotating through our various departments. In certain instances, we will have everyone with us! These discussions will include our founders, executives, developers, designers, and marketing teams who will be on our ongoing roundtable discussion to showcase our growth, our ongoing timeline, and company milestones as well as be available for general AMA questions from our community.

We recently got the chance to introduce our community to our CPO, Eric Prouty. His recorded interview can be found here.

Also, our founders conducted an AMA in our official Telegram group. Please reference the pinned posts to find that recording, linked here.

Twitter-First Approach, Ongoing Social Media Updates

We will continue to update our REVEALers using Twitter as our main information platform. From there we will disseminate information across all the other social media platforms. This will include all our events, speaking engagements, weekly highlights, and general information that we think you should be aware of that relates to our team or one of our ongoing projects.

TECH TEAM & DEV TEAM UPDATES

Security & Authentication Web Portal

We are on the cusp of one of the most important dev updates to date, as we are just weeks away from the initial beta version of our security portal going live. Some of the last pieces are going into place. Our UI has been developed successfully to the specifications that we established in our planning and design phases, which included wireframing and the creation of high-fidelity designs that are ready for production. Our backend is robust and scalable, deployed on a global cloud infrastructure with containerization architecture for maximum performance and maintainability. To make sure that our performance is enhanced — with speed being the main focus — we are in the process of creating a new performant iteration of our security API, which will be integrated into the security portal upon completion. All of these developments are in preparation for the onboarding of our first group of beta testers.

Detailed Updates

  • We enhanced the UI to inform the user about the steps in the security portal by creating an indicator to display the actions ahead, and those that have been completed.
  • We built out the Contact form in which users can access a secure method of communicating with the REV3AL team
  • We added security functionality in the form of CAPTCHA v3 to detect bot activity on the front end of the portal

NFT Marketplace Updates

We have made significant progress on our marketplace during recent weeks as well. We successfully performed frontend, backend, and blockchain development tasks that were outlined in our current sprint and overall roadmap. This prepares us for a full, production-ready, Web3 commerce platform release that will showcase our security-centric approach, integrate our partner ecosystem, and continue to build our community of artists, creators, and brands looking to protect their IP.

In Q1 of 2023, we will onboard the first NFT collections from our partner network, creating exclusive NFT listings on the REV3AL marketplace for public availability. At that time, users will be invited to connect their MetaMask wallets to the platform (using the Ethereum Mainnet initially — additional blockchain integrations will follow) and they will be able to purchase from the featured collections.

NFT Marketplace Blockchain Detailed Updates

  • Fetch tasks were created for available Market Items to purchase on the marketplace, this provides the NFT list related to the collection and a list for NFTs and collections related to specific artists
  • We migrated from Goerli Ethereum Testnet to Mumbai Polygon Testnet for the sake of ease of use during the development and testing phases
  • We created a method to update the NFT price, and check to see if the NFT token is an active Marketplace Item already
  • We developed functionality for querying a market item by contract & token ID and added the ability to fetch all market items available to buy

NFT Marketplace Backend Detailed Updates

  • We created reusable buy/sell/cancel/update button logic

NFT Marketplace Frontend Detailed Updates

  • The interaction with blockchain to purchase an NFT has been refined alongside the ability to put an NFT on sale as an owner (creating a blockchain transaction)
  • Implemented logic for displaying the NFTs (i.a. fetching policy, routes) and created a create collection button for an artist profile
